Scout-O-Rama will be on May 11, 2013 from 9 am – 4pm, at Oak Canyon Regional Park. Â Troop 811 will be manning the Rope Making Booth this year.

Merit Badge Day Schedules
Merit Badge Days provide Scouts with an activity-filled day combining hands-on activities, question and answer sessions, and fun projects to help Scouts earn Merit Badges. Registration and schedules vary for each Merit Badge Day, so be sure to download the flyer or contact the host organization for complete information. OCBSA regularly updates the information on their website (see link below) and Troop 811 has also posted a link under the Resources for Scouts tab on our website.

Camp Whitsett – 2013 Summer Camp
Announcing Camp Whitsett – July 14-20, 2013
Camp Whitsett
Troop 811 campers, it’s time to get ready for Summer Camp! Â This year we will be going to Camp Whitsett along the southern end of the Sequoia National Forest near Kernville, CA.
Camp Whitsett offers over twenty traditional merit badges, a COPE course, mountain biking, hiking, and white-water rafting all in an idyllic mountain setting. For older scouts looking challenge and adventure, our Sierra Expeditions programs provide the experience of a lifetime.
Camp Whitsett also offers training for youth and adults, to enjoy and learn something new at the same time.

How can I send mail to my Scout?
- Mail can be sent to Whitsett anytime. Mail is picked up by the Scout Leader in the afternoon. It takes about 3-4 days for mail to get to a Scout once mailed (so plan accordingly). Scouts routinely get Letters, Postcards, Packages, etc. Mail can be sent to:SCOUT’S NAME – TROOP NUMBER – WEEK [Important – it takes longer to look up a Scout without Troop #] Camp Whitsett HC 1, Box 105 Kernville, CA 93238
- Please note that FedEx only comes to camp once a week, we recommend using UPS or USPS.

Our annual Pancake Breakfast just ONE WEEK AWAY!  On Sunday, March 17, 2013, we will be serving our famous pancake breakfast!  All scouts are required to assist in selling tickets and both in setting up and serving. To assist with sales, the Pancake Breakfast committee has created a flyer that you can use to hand out or email to family or friends. Download and print the flyer now and send it out to everyone you know!!

Congressman Ed Royce Service Academy Night – March 14, 2013

Scout Sunday – February 3, 2013
St. Angela Merici Church will celebrate Scout Sunday on February 3rd.
All Cub Scout and Boy Scout families (of any unit) in the parish community are invited to join together at the 9:30 mass to show their commitment to a Scout’s “duty to God†and to honor the founding of the Boy Scouts of America on February 8, 1910.
Scouts are requested to assemble in front of the church in full Class A uniforms no later than 9:15 a.m. for a color guard and procession into church.
Troop 811 families are encouraged to attend Scout Sunday to show our commitment to youth ministry through Scouting at St. Angela Merici!
